A shift in mindset can transform the results you’re getting in your business.

If the numbers aren’t what you want them to be, you’re not productive enough, or feeling disheartened, it might be time to update your mind.

A breakthrough in business will often come from a breakthrough in your performance. As you change how you see problems and approach challenges, you’ll achieve more self-confidence. As your mindset changes, you will become bolder and more success-oriented.

Whether it’s seeing problems from new perspectives, getting the passion back for what you’re doing, or implementing a change in direction or systems that’s standing in your way, a change in mindset can help you get there.

Tips to change your mindset

1. Use positive affirmations

Affirmations help you to program what you want to feel and see. To focus on success, you need to know what it looks like. What do your goals look like? How big is your ideal team? Write these things down and then frame them into a sentence that declares they are yours now.

For example: “I have 40 clients and my business operates smoothly” or “I have 5 superstar staff members” or “my systems and processes are second to none!”

2. Change how you see challenges

Shifting your mindset comes from changing your mental approach to challenges. A favourite saying of mine is “I win or I learn, but I never lose”, a quote by famous entrepreneur, Marie Forleo. If you adopt this mantra, you can adapt and overcome anything in your business because you can’t really fail, you can only grow.

3. Get yourself a coach

Sometimes you know you want to shift your mindset, but don’t know what tools will get you where you want to go. A mindset or business coach can help. They will work with you to identify and shift the exact beliefs or processes needed to take your business to the next level. The investment is always worth it.

4. Focus on your business vision

Another great tip is “don’t sweat the small stuff – and it’s all small stuff.” When you focus on the long-term vision you have for yourself and your operations, all of the day-to-day stresses become less important. Everything can be figured out. If you’re too busy, hire some help. If it’s not working, try something new that might work instead.

5. Connect with positive people

When you create great connections, you change how you see the world. By finding success-oriented people and spending time with them or joining a business community, you can adopt their mindset.

By changing your mindset, you’ll feel more confident in who you are, the direction you’re going, and the actions and resources you need to make focused plans for the future.
