FACT: Female entrepreneurs are at the heart of a successful online business in 2023.
Did you know women make over a third of all Australian business operators (34 per cent or 668,670 women). There has been a 46 per cent increase in the number of women business operators over the past two decades, according to the Austrian Bureau of Statistics.
In 2023, I’m predicting the Year of the Female Entrepreneur!
She overcomes her challenges and builds a successful online business. She is in control of her business and future. She knows what she wants, and she’s going after it. It’s exciting as a “fempreneur” myself with female business owners as clients.
However, if there’s one very significant thing I have learned as a female entrepreneur, it can be hard to stay on top of everything when building your successful online business. That’s followed closely by, you can’t do everything yourself!
Problems women face on the path to a successful online business
There are several issues women face as a business owner.
1. Juggling everything
Constantly running from meeting to meeting, phone call to phone call, and email to email can be overwhelming. I know what it’s like to be overwhelmed because it used to be that way for me too. Family, the household, kids, school, dinners, husband who also works full time – and then there is the business!
2. No time
Trying to find the time to work in and on your business to grow it can be debilitating and you feel such guilt as a woman because there’s always something else that needs your attention.
3. Overwhelm and exhaustion
If you don’t get organised and get some help that’s when overwhelm will set in and you won’t have the capacity to grow your business, even though it’s your main goal. Being overwhelmed can lead to burnout and a lack of productivity.
Overcome these 4 challenges and thrive!
To build a successful online business as a female entrepreneur there are 4 main things you need to stop doing right now.
1. Stop masking the problem
The number one mistake busy business owners make when they try to streamline their business is not solving the root cause of the problem they are facing, and that sucks up all their energy and time.
When you resolve the issue you win back your time, freedom and sanity. My best advice is to dig deep and look into the root cause of the problems you are experiencing and solve that first, then you can minimise any bigger and future losses.
2. Stop leaking money
You simply can’t grow a thriving and successful online business if it’s leaking money. The best way to discover where the money is leaking in your business is to look at the workflows that are sucking up all your time and energy. That’s a waste right there!
3. Stop keeping everything in your head
This is by far the worst thing you can do to your business. It stunts growth because only you know how to do everything and you feel like you are the only way to get things done.
4. Stop feeling unorganised
No action plan means feeling unorganised. It means you’re all over the place, not really getting anything done and not knowing what comes next. Having an action plan to streamline your business will mean more time, finished tasks and an organised business where you can outsource or automate – and you’ll feel more confident too.
